Pathways Participant Eligibility

The first step to being eligible to apply to the Health Profession Pathways program is to be an incoming, first-year student in the President's Emerging Scholars (PES) program. 

Then, there are a few additional eligibility criteria, which are listed below. The Pathways program will enroll up to 24 students to join the new Fall 2024 cohort. 

Students must meet the following three criteria to be eligible to apply for the Pathways program:

  1. Be an incoming, admitted student at the U of M - Twin Cities for Fall 2024 that is part of the President's Emerging Scholars (PES) program
  2. Have an interest in a health career 
  3. Identify with one or more of the following:

Students accepted into the Pathways program must also be able to commit to attending the Emerge: Summer STEM program during Summer 2024. Read more about the Pathways student experience below the gold box.
