How has the PHSRC helped you in your undergraduate career?

I had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program through the PHSRC in Chiang Mai Thailand. This program was my first global health experience, and it sparked my interest in the field of public health! Gaining cultural insight first-hand enriched my perspective on the world and prepared me to keep exploring the field of public health when I returned home.

What advice do you have for pre-health students?
A piece of advice I would give someone exploring or preparing a health profession is to follow your passion and the things that get you excited, and don't be afraid to try new things! Studying abroad was something that was way out of my comfort zone, but ended up becoming a life-changing experience for me.

What are you most excited for?

I am most excited as I begin my health professional career to expand my knowledge on the issues that my community faces, as well as other communities around the globe, and learn how I can do my part to help!"
